Mother nature knocked out one night of racing on the USMTS Southern Region swing through Texas and Oklahoma, but four action packed nights of racing consumed the weekend for Johnny Scott. Kicking off on June 26th at Grayson County Speedway in Bells, TX, Johnny finished 5th in his heat and had to run the B Feature. A 4th place finish in the B Feature put him 19th on the grid for the Main Event. Johnny picked off cars one by one to record a 6th place finish.
Friday night, June 27th it was on to Superbowl Speedway in Greenville, TX. Johnny won his heat and started from the second row for the A Main. He kept up with the strong contingent of cars and finished the night 2nd.
Next up was Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore, OK. Jonny won his heat for the second night in a row. He fired off for the Feature from 8th and hung midpack to record a 9th overall finish.
The final night of the four race swing took the team to Outlaw Motorsports Park in Muskogee, OK. Johnny picked up another heat race win and followed it up with a 2nd place Feature finish. Johnny finished 3rd in the USMTS Southern Region points standings.
